Computer Engineering Department is one of five departments in the School of Engineering. The department was established in November 2006 after an approval was received from N.B.T.E. in October, 2006 as a result of resource inspection visitation in May, 2006.
The commencement of the programme witnessed deployment of four academic staff from the department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering. The first set of Thirty-Four (34) students commenced lectures on December 18, 2006. The second set of the thirty two (32) students were admitted in the 2007/2008 academic year. The third and fourth sets admitted in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 are made up of 115 and 67 students respectively.
The department will begin her HND programme in 2011/2012 academic session having obtained approval from NBTE during the last resource inspection.
