Welding and Fabrication Engineering Department was one of the Departments that were carved out from Mechanical Engineering Department. The Department was established in 2014. It became a full fledge Department in year 2016 to commence National Diploma (ND) after an approval was received from NBTE as a result of resource inspection visitation. The Head of Department of Mechanical assisted by the Head of Section (HOS) supervised the academic and administrative activities of Welding and Fabrication Section; the Lecturers were sourced from Mechanical Engineering Department. The appointment of a Senior Lecturer from Mechanical Engineering Department to head Welding and Fabrication Engineering Department began the fully take off of the Department in year 2016.
